Booking & Payments

Do I require a retainer to book a session?

  • Yes, a 50% retainer is required to secure your time slot. The session is not guaranteed without this payment. Retainers are non-refundable but may be transferred to a rescheduled session if notice is given at least 24 hours in advance.

What payment methods do you accept?

  • Payments are accepted via credit card through the website. Cash is accepted for the final balance. Installment plans are available for select sessions upon request. Alternative payment options such as Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal may be accommodated—please inquire for details.

What happens if I'm running late to my session?

  • If you're running late, please notify me as soon as possible. I allow a 30-minute window, but after that, we may need to reschedule, and a rescheduling fee may apply.

How do you handle rescheduling or cancellations?

  • You can reschedule once with at least 24 hours' notice. Additional rescheduling requests may incur a fee. If you miss your session window, it is considered a no-show. Retainers are non-refundable but may be transferred if rescheduling is done within the allowed timeframe.

Session Experience

Can I bring a friend or family member to my session?

  • Yes, you’re welcome to bring a guest. However, they should remain in the waiting area to keep the focus on you.

Do you provide makeup and hairstyling?

  • I do not have an in-house stylist, but I can recommend local options for professional makeup and hair services.

Can I request a specific background or setting for my headshot?

  • Yes, I offer multiple backgrounds, including premium options like Ethan Alex backdrops used at major events like the Grammy's and Ocars.

What should I avoid wearing during the headshot session?

  • Avoid big statement jewelry, bold prints, and overly bright colors. Wear something you love and feel confident in.


Editing & Image Delivery

What type of retouching is included?

  • Minimal retouching is provided to keep your look natural, reducing minor imperfections without making the image look artificial.

Can I request additional retouching after the session?

  • Yes, one round of additional retouching is available if you’re not fully satisfied with your image. Additional edits beyond this may incur an extra fee.

Can I see unedited photos before selecting the final image?

  • Yes, you’ll review and select unedited photos at the end of your session. Additional images can be retouched for $150 each.

Do you offer rush editing services?

  • Express Headshot services include edits within 24 hours. Portrait sessions and corporate event photos typically take 48-72 hours.

How long do you store my photos? Can I request them again later?

  • Retouched photos are stored for one year on the website. Unedited images are not released.

  • Yes, commercial licensing is available for an additional fee. Contact me for specific pricing. By default, clients receive personal usage rights for their retouched images.

Corporate & Event Photography

Do you offer team or office headshots?

  • Yes, I provide half-day and full-day on-site corporate headshot sessions. A 10x10 space with an outlet is required for setup.

Are you available to travel outside of Arlington Heights and Chicago?

  • Yes, I frequently travel for destination shoots. Travel expenses apply for locations outside this area.

Photo Booth Services

How many people can fit in a photo booth at once?

  • I use a camera on a stand that can be adjusted. Typically, it accommodates five to six people comfortably.

Can the photo booth be customized with my branding or event theme?

  • Yes, branding and customization are available depending on the package selected.

Do you provide an attendant with the photo booth?

  • Yes, I personally attend events to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Do I receive digital copies of all photo booth photos?

  • Yes, digital copies are provided based on the package you select. Both branded and non-branded versions are available. Delivery time for digital copies varies based on the event package and editing requirements.


Weddings & Family Sessions

What’s your approach to wedding and family photography?

  • I focus on capturing authentic, candid moments with a natural, relaxed style.

How far in advance should I book a wedding or family session?

  • Bookings should be made at least 60 days in advance to secure your date.

Miscellaneous

Do you offer retouching for photos that you did not take?

  • Generally, I do not retouch other photographers' work, except for specific cases like military or official photos.

Do you offer passport photo services?

  • No, I do not offer passport photo services. It’s best to visit Walgreens, Staples, or the post office for this service.
